Kherson is a beautiful city on the bank of Dnipro.
The population of Kherson is more than 400 000 people.
It is a town of youth; a lot of educational establishments
are located here. Kherson is divided into city center
- the most ancient part of the city where all the administrative
and memorial places are located and new districts with
new many-storied buildings.
Arrival
and departure
Kherson has
an airport of internal connection between main Ukrainian
cities, railway station with special high-speed trains,
see-and-river port and two bus stations. It is still
not possible to get to Kherson by plane from abroad
yet but there is an International Airport in Odessa
(only 250 km away from here) or two Kiev airports (International
Airport of Borispol and National Airport of Zhuliany).

apartments
They say the second impression of the city is a place
you are staying at. That is why it is important to choose
it carefully. There are several hotels
in Kherson. They are located in different districts
and offer different service and prices. All the same
you have one more option not to be disappointed by conditions
of your residence - to stay at private
apartment and not to depend on personnel. That is

Safety
The tap water in Kherson is not very good for drinking.
We recommend to buy bottled drinking water in the stores.
Also beware of pocket pickers while using public transport
or in crowded places (especially shopping malls).
The safest area as of accommodation
is a centre of Kherson. We do not recommend walking
alone in some residential areas of Kherson at night.
Also do exchange currency in exchange offices or banks
only. Trying to exchange money in a bar, restaurant
of if someone offered it to you may result in you just
loosing the amount you wanted to change.
Places to
visit
For souvenirs the best place to go in Kherson is Suvorova
Street.
Kherson has a huge number of shopping malls and world
standard stores that you would find convenient to use.
Most of the accept major credit cards.
Kherson has several high standard modern cinemas, so
if you know some Russian, we would recommend you visiting.
For man who want to see films in English we have small
cinema for private visits.
Night
life in Kherson is very active. There is a number
of great night
clubs, restaurants
and bars for all tastes and ages.

It was founded earlier than Nikolaev and Odessa and
has more than 3 centuries of its history and development.
It was founded in 1778 by Ekaterina II order as a fortress
on the Tatars way and very important trade point.
It is famous for its mild climate, history and of course
"bunches" of beautiful
girls.
There are some museums and lots of memorial places.
The Museum of Local Lore will put you in the atmosphere
of ancient times - the period of tribes and colonization
of vast steps.
Art Museum is located in one of the oldest buildings
of Kherson (lately Municipal Duma) and has the masterpieces
of painting, sculpture and carving.
